Who would have thought that a drivers qualification handbook would offer some insight? Heres a quote:

Motivation varies depending on your mood
and how important or attractive something is
to you. You might be motivated to do things by
the ‘rush’ or thrill you get from extreme
sports, by making money, by saving time
or even from love.

What motivates you may not
be of any interest to someone else and may
not be the same all the time.
