Have you ever made a connection with someone that you thought was soo strong it could stand the tests of time?

Well i think its happened to me. No i'm not talking about Will this time. But rather an old friend i bumped into on friday. I seriously have not seen the girl for 6 years and out of nowhere she appears again. It makes me wonder whether it was meant to happen or it was simply coincidence. If she didnt come up to say hi to me, i probably wouldnt have known better or even recognised her. She's changed so much on the outside but everything else is still the same. =)

Ever since my impressionable age of 16, i've always gotten along with Denise. We went to school together but we never spoke to each other much til year 10. But when we did, we clicked right away and who wouldnt...? She's talented, gorgeous, ambitious and smart.

Unfortunately after i changed schools it was hard to keep in contact and we just lost touch - i admit it was my fault completely. But in a way, i was reminded of her now and then. She has the same birthday as Lowell...so i had a little reminder every year.

We dont have much in common in terms of background but the same interests and thoughts are there. I think thats what holds us together. Just talking to her makes me want to be a better person...just cause she is!

So back to the story...

After bumping into her at Beach Culture in the city, i realised that i never asked for her mobile number so we could keep in touch. So today, out of complete boredom i was searching thru my phone and found Denises entry. Its surprising i still had it.

Anyways, i thought i'd try my luck and send her an sms to see if she still uses the number. I mean its now or never...if i left it too long...i dont think i'd have the courage to call - just cause it'd seem to weird? BUT i was glad i did cause it turns out she still does use her number.

So we went to bankstown square and caught up over coffee. Funny thing was...the cafe was called Cafe Reflections... and that was exactly what we did! We were in there for a good 3-4hours and although it was awkward at first...it eventually felt that time never passed. I came out of that conversation thinking time has passed us soo quickly...and looking back we've both been really lucky.

Things have changed so much but other things wont change. I cant lie and say that i'll be in contact with her from now until eternity, but i know that she was always be there in my mind and that i would always care for her...cause she's made such an impression on my life...especially when i needed it most.
