So, i've never realised what a hot conversation starter blogs are. On the weekend i was reminded several times that i havent blogged and that everyone is sick of my last blog. I should check my site stats more often...i didnt realise that many people hit the site.
Anyways, my weekend in review:
Friday
Mindy and i made our way to Bondi Junction via public transport - which may be a shock to all you boys. I didnt realise public transport was such a taboo with boys til this weekend.
Anyways, i believe both mindy and i's navigational skills have greatly improved as we made it there and back safely. When i mean safely, i'm choosing to ignore the fact that i got off at Regents Park (cause there werent any trains to Yagoona for aggges)... only to be aware of the fact i was wearing a mini skirt...which only SHOUTS...harass me...harass me. Had a 2 immature guys approach me asking for my number... boy was i relieved when my dad arrived.
Problem was, when i told him what happened, he quickly did the asian dad thing and proceed to sit in the car and give them the death stare til they walked away. Mind you, i was already in the car by this stage...i love how dads are so protective of their daughters... i love my dad! =)
Saturday
Once again, took public transport. This time, to mindy's house. It was quite quick...i envy the fast hornsby line. If only the bankstown line could be that efficient. Mindy picked me up from Beecroft and then it was a buffy-marathon...only except i slept though it... haha.
Claire came by to get us and then we headed off to the David Tang, Johnny Howard and Paul Train bash. It was great to catch up with everyone again. Met some pretty interesting people though... photographers, vets, and chefs. After meeting all these passionate people, it made me wonder WHY i'm in I.T.
I also spoke to some people from uni that i've seen around but never spoken to. My favourite was chito and thats saying something even though i only spoke to him for 5-10mins. As for everyone else, it was great chatting up. Hi Ling! Hi Hoa! Hi David!...ok thats my shoutouts! ahha.
Afters dinner, gelato and some drinks...claire drove us back to mindys and i got to sleep in her new and humungous queen size bed. It was tres comfy...a great nights sleep. Mindy even played and sang to me the next morning...
Sunday
Woke up and led mindy to cabramatta. It was her first time in 10 years! I showed her the culture there..but culture i mean...the crazy asian driving..and the difficulties of parking. We then had pho at Pho Minh...haha...and then i saw her all the delicacies available - custard cakes, rainbow desserts, sugar cane drinks, fruit shakes, asian cakes.... shame we were too full to try any of it. We also bumped into anamur... i miss seeing everyone at uni all the time!
After our asian tour of cabramatta, we headed to Wills house to do some bike riding. We rode to Mel's and then went on the bike track through Fairfield city farm. WHAT HILLS! They were crazy... we only went half way too. Luckily the weather held up...it was good. Not too hot to ride in and not too cold. Now, to understand which gears to use... had to walk my bike up on some of the hills...doh!
Afterwards walked to Bi-Lo for some dessert...(ice blocks and chocolate) and then gravitated straight to the tv. Watched crappy idol... if anthony doesnt win...i dont think Idol should even be showing next year!
Also watched the ARIAS...there is so much talent in australia at the moment.. and surprisingly i'm finding myself liking ALOT of the groups/bands. I'm proud of australia...
Now to catch up on some uni work... grrr...
