How would i recount the last 2 weeks? None other than an eating extravaganza!
Last week
Will turned 22 on the 25th August, so naturally along came the celebrations! Will and i organise for him to have dinner with his friends. The original plan was at Bellissmo on Cabramatta Rd...but when we got there it they were booked out and we had to come up with another plan. In the meanwhile, whilst standing there waiting for everyone else to arrive, Daniel did a very clever parking manoevre. He thought he had a got a nice spot near the restuarant, only whilst we were talking a spot right in front of the restaurant cleared so he rushed to his car to take it. Funny thing was, this other car coming from the opposite direction from daniel indicated to take the place....but they were too slow. Daniel reversed into that spot like there was no 2moro. Very well done!
To Daniel's dissapointment, it wouldnt have made a difference because there was no space in the restaurant anyways. So he had to leave his spot behind as we headed to Chilli's in Wentworthville. It was a bit of a wait there, but we got seated by about 9pm. Not after convincing everyone to come to Thailand though! haha. If anyone is free Jan 5 -12...please join us in thailand! Were planning on going to Koh Samui.
Dinner was great. The food came out pretty quickly. On daniels recommendation we had the mushroom fajitas. They were fantastic! After dinner, which Will paid for (thanks babe!)... we intended to go to Mounties... but for some reason we ended up at Hiens new place. How swanky! I dont know how it happened but before we knew it, it was 1am and everyone had their laptops open. How geeky! I dont know about everyone else but Thao and i were watching the womens basketball semi-finals.
So that ended that night.
On the following night, i had dinner with Will and his family at Black Stump. Dinner was great...i shared a "i'll have what she's having" with Will. It was soo nice. I wonder if you can buy it somewhere...surely...
After dinner we went to see The Bourne Supremacy. It was ok... nothing tooo memorable.
This week
I managed to save heaps of money by bringing my own food for lunch. I didnt visit my wallet til thursday night. It was odd seeing money in there. I usually have to hit an ATM at least 2x a week. Will and i headed to strathfield after work and i got a hair cut. I have a fringe now. I asked her to layered it, but you know the korean hair places... they usually have a mind of their own. I dont totally hate it...its a different look for me i guess...
After our haircut, Thao rang and asked us if we wanted to see The Village. So we headed to Wetheril to watch it. Hmm... PLEASE PLEASE... wait til it comes out on video to watch this. Its such a sh*t movie. Like, it wasn't as scary as they make it out to be. Wow, so i got 2 shocks...i think they were mostly triggered by Will too =P
Friday night, i went to Mythos Greek Restaurant in Leichardt with Will and his work mates. The food in itself isnt so great - its the entertainment. Everyone there has to eat the set menu and i think Jessica (Will's work mate) had to book the place months in advance. We had our own resident dj beating our greek beats...then these were followed by Brazilan dancers, belly dancers, and a capioera dancers. The fun part is they pull people out from the audience (customers) and asked them to climb onto the bar and do little dances. There was a hen's night happening, so one of the hens had to eat cream, chocolate and strawberries off this guys chest. It was entertaining yet disgusting at the same time.
The host was this huge buff guy. He looked like he could be a security guard. During the show, he came out in his briefs (with a g-string underneath) and a white shirt. He did a few dances then got these grannies in the crowd to lick banana and mango liquer off his chest. Really...it was quite off. He was all sweaty and stuff. The grannies were good sports though, they squeezed his butts and did all the licking! ahaha.
All in the all, the restuarant was entertaining. Like i said, food wasnt that great...but at least i was satisfied.
Tonight i'm going to a japanese restaurant with Will's work mates again. Its Van's bday, so were heading there 2nite to celebrate. 2moro, my family and i are taking my dad to dinner. I told you i wasnt kidding with the eating extraganza.
If i didnt play basketball today, i'd be feeling pretty bad about all this eat. I'm glad japanese isnt too fattening. Sashimi and sushi. Yum!
My birthday
As you all know (i hope), my bday is coming up. Please keep the 25th of September free. It will be an all day event, and i will give you details later.
