Last night, i had dinner at Bungalow 8 with Will, Mindy, Nel, Nix, Eric, Jimmy, erics friends x 2, and Aaron S. The food as usual was spectacular. Its amazing how full you can get on bread, prawns, and mussels. I love the atmosphere there.

After dinner, we went to George St and watched Stepford Wives. I originally wanted to watch Eurotrip and mindy wanted to watch I-Robot. Unfortunately half of us had already seen i-robot so there were debates as to which other movies to watch. I would have been happy with Jersey Girl or Eurotrip. We were all against Farhenhait 911 and Chronicles of Roddick. So there werent many options left.

In the end we decided to choose a movie everyone would be neutral about. Stepford Wives it was. I dont think the boys enjoyed it. I thought it as oooooooookay. Not fantastic. Seems more like a dvd movie than anything. Oh wellz... all in all...it was a nice night. Nel had to wear a bib! :P

Anyways, the olympics have officially started. I tried to stay up last night to catch it... and with only 1 hr to go i bailed - i just couldnt keep my eyes open. They were showing the Sydney Olympics opening ceremony during this time. It was so beautiful. While i was watching it, i kept wishing i could go back and relive that moment. Instead of being in my room trying to cram for the trials...i should have went to one event at least. If anything, it might have motivated me to study better so i could have time to go. Its not everyday the Olympics is in your home time...oh well.

I did manage to catch the repeat of the Athens opening ceremony this afternoon though. I was amazed. There's so much history and culture there! It is amazed me so much that now i've decided to include Greece into my list of European destinations.

For those of you who havent heard, nel mamo and i have decided to travel to europe during December - January. So for the past few weeks i've been researching air fares and european attractions. So after all that research on friday i made a tentative wish list / itinerary:

Sydney > London > Rome > Madrid > London > Paris > London > Dublin > London > Sydney

The reason why London is in there 4 times is that we have to return to London to get to the other destinations or back home - since it is an international hub. I thought everything was set until i rang the travel agent and they said that Friday was the last day these prices were available and if i wanted it...i had to be willing to pay it in full there and then. I dont think so...

So now i have to find a better price. I think i need to just visit a travel agent and sort it out rather than trying to do it all myself online. Anyways, since that plan cant go ahead... i can still make amendments and try to fit greece somewhere in that list. I want to go to Athens as well as the Greek Islands...but i'm not sure if the Greek Islands would be worth going to in Winter? Any suggestions as to which routes i can take to get to Athens?

Maybe:

Sydney > London > Copenhagen > Paris > Madrid > Rome > Athens > Greek Islands > Athens > London > Sydney

I'm not sure about copenhagen yet, but i just looked on the world map, and it looks closer to London than anywhere else. The only problem with this options is that, i may be in Rome/Athens/Greek Islands during Christmas and New Years. I'd rather be in London or Paris during these times.

Oh the dilemmas. Well, i need to discuss it through with Nel anyways. SO this is all wishful thinking....but if anyone wants to tell me the best place to visit and from where...i'd appreciate it! =)
