So i have to keep this short so i can head back into bed before i cough out a lung.
Justin Timberlake for me, wasn't the best experience. Sitting out there in the cold since 9am was not enjoyable at all. It was the longest day of my life! Not to mention the dilemmas of letting ppl in and those pushing their way into the line.
The security was crap because we all got rorted. There were 3 doors we had to stand in front of... and you know what? They only opened one! Not only did i feel like my arm was going to break, but instead of front row, i was about 4 ppl from the front. What shit me was that a girl who we let in made front row!
Due to my non stretchy jeans, my legs were numb at several points cause we were made to sit. The show ran pretty late and when cristian alexander came on, all i could think about was... give me some air and stop pushing. Only it got worse once Justin came out. I was pushed left right and centre...both my ears were screamed into, my back was sore from standing all day and i felt very faint by this time. After watching him sing 2 songs, i couldnt take it anymore. I had girls sweaty backs rubbing into me... someone touching my arse every 2 secs and one girl trying to elbow her way in front of me. Eventually i pushed her out of the way and elbowed her back. I even told her to stop pushing and back off but she said she was already there before, which is bullshit.
Ok, i posting too much negativity. After i left the dance floor, i tried to find a seat without any luck. So i eventually i ended up standing near this ramp bit near the corporate boxes which was right at the back. But i could still see Justin so it was ok. The security guard probably thought i was harmless cause i was by myself, so he let me stand there. Whilst i was there i noticed someone sitting in the corporate box with afro hair. I immediately thought Guy Sebastian... but then i couldnt see his face so i wasnt sure.
In the last 30mins justin really showed his stuff. I was amazed... and by this stage i was over my anger. So i was dancing around by myself.
In the last 5 mins, a security guard walked into the corporate box and told "GUY" it was time to go. By this stage, i think the security guard forgot about me. So i was standing on the ramp the entire time which was the only exit. As he walked off i caught a glimpse of Guy's face and when he came closer i tapped him on the shoulder and said "GUY! HI!" and he was like "sorry i have to go" so i said "ok bye". That was all i could mutter. Oh well! So that was my highlight for the night.
Now i am living the reprecussions of the night. I've developed a throat infection, muscular pain as a result of my coughing, fever, headache and cold/flu symptoms on top of that! Oh and my tongue is bitter! I hate that! I'm in soo much pain its not funny. Its amazing how much sleep one can get. I'm feeling very sorry for my bank account atm. I've only worked 1 day this week.
So all in all... i've concluded that i NEVER want to go to the Hordern again, and that general admission ticket are just not worth it. I'd rather pay for reserve seating. I think i wasted at least 10hrs of my life there - which i never want to do again.
Anyways, I hope i get better by the weekend... cause i still want to play basketball. Although i think i've been advised against it.
Well must head back to bed. Bye!
